Job Description
Western operates contract drilling services across Canada and maintains a United States presence through Stoneham Drilling. Across all operations, the company remains committed to safe, efficient, and reliable energy service solutions. Stoneham Drilling is hiring Floorhands to join our growing team! Joining the Stoneham team gives you the opportunity to start or grow your career! Position Summary The Floorhand is responsible for assisting the Derrickhand and Driller on the drill floor and conducting preventative maintenance on rig equipment. Floorhands also assist in the mixing of mud and chemicals, clean and paint as required, and assist in moving the rig, rigging up and rigging out. Safety is the first priority for all drilling rig personnel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities General maintenance of drilling rig Operate and maintain the engines that run the draw works, turn rotary table and circulate drilling fluid Clean and maintain equipment Paint the drilling floor and rig in general Ensure usage of proper safety equipment Ability to comply with company guidelines and work in a safe manner Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work safely and plan ahead. Ability to work in a team setting. Strong communication skills. Good organizational skills. Mechanical aptitude. Manual dexterity. Ability to judge distance and spatial relationships Education and Experience 6 months to 1 year of working as a Leasehand/Floorhand Certifications and Licenses Must be at least 18 years of age Must have reliable transportation H2S Certification What We Offer Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life & Disability Insurance 401(k) Savings Plan Floorhand position is full-time seasonal position.
