NOT A TRAVELING POSITION, WORK IS IN CHARLESTON,SC
• Down Under Directional boring provides a complete variety of construction and engineering services to the wireless and wireline industry. We are seeking Directional Drilling Operator/Locator to work out of our North Charleston, SC office. Prior experience with installation/repair/maintenance associated with underground utilities preferred. A valid driver's license is a must, CDL a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Minimum 2 year's experience of Directional drilling/locating. Must be able to complete daily bore logs written and electronically. Must have can do attitude and willingness to complete task in a reasonable amount of time. Must be able to perform standard maintenance issues on drill and support equipment. Drives and/or operates diesel or gasoline powered equipment to/from/on jobsite (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Bucket Truck) Locate other buried wiring/cabling Install underground telecommunications cabling. Flagging (directing safe coordination of vehicles and equipment within public areas where worksites are active) Worksite restoration. Performs general construction work (to include physical labor i.e., using hand tools, lifting materials on average up to 50 lbs., etc.) under direction of Foreman or Supervisor Performs other duties as necessary. Must be able to demonstrate ability to follow directions, produce quality work, maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all Federal, State, and Company regulations and policies. Must be able to demonstrate ability to maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally.
