We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Core Driller to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for drilling clean, precise holes through concrete, brick, block, and asphalt to accommodate heavy mechanical systems. You will work closely with our HVAC, piping, and plumbing crews to ensure structural penetrations are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities Drill Operation:

Set up and safely operate commercial hand-held, rig-mounted, and deep-hole diamond core drilling equipment.

Layout & Measurement:

Read mechanical blueprints and structural drawings to precisely locate, layout, and drill penetration points for pipes, ducts, and conduits.

Site Preparation:

Inspect workspaces, coordinate utility locates, and set up water containment and slurry vacuum systems to maintain a clean job site.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain, inspect, and perform minor field repairs on core drill rigs, bits, anchors, and vacuum pumps.

Safety & Compliance:

Strictly adhere to OSHA standards, silica dust exposure regulations, and company safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of commercial core drilling experience, specifically working alongside mechanical, electrical, or plumbing (MEP) trades.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with anchoring systems, wet/dry drilling techniques, and selecting the correct diamond matrix bits for various aggregate types.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, and mechanical layouts.

Physical Demands:

Capacity to stand for long periods, lift up to 75 lbs, work at heights, and operate heavy machinery.

Certifications:
