Advanced Energy LLC is an oilfield drilling contractor operating in the Permian Basin. We are seeking an experienced, safety-focused Driller to join our drilling operations in the Midland/Odessa, Texas area. The Driller is responsible for safely operating the drilling rig, supervising the rig crew, monitoring drilling operations, and ensuring work is performed efficiently and in accordance with Advanced Energy LLC policies, customer requirements, and applicable safety procedures. Job Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate the drilling rig and associated drilling equipment. Direct and supervise Floor Hands and other assigned rig crew personnel during drilling operations. Perform drilling, tripping pipe, running casing, connections, and other rig operations safely and efficiently. Monitor drilling parameters, including weight on bit, rotary speed, torque, pump pressure, and other operating conditions. Recognize changes in well conditions and immediately respond to potential well-control situations. Maintain proper hole fill and monitor the well during trips and other critical operations. Ensure proper procedures are followed during connections, trips, rig-up, rig-down, and casing operations. Conduct and participate in JSAs, pre-job meetings, safety meetings, inspections, and emergency drills. Ensure crew members understand their assigned tasks, hazards, and required controls before work begins. Inspect rig equipment and immediately report mechanical problems, unsafe conditions, or equipment requiring repair. Coordinate with the Rig Manager and other company personnel regarding drilling operations and equipment needs. Maintain effective communication with company representatives and other personnel on location. Ensure the rig floor and surrounding work areas are maintained in a clean and organized condition. Train and mentor Floor Hands and other crew members in safe drilling practices and proper equipment operation. Enforce Advanced Energy LLC safety policies, PPE requirements, and customer safety requirements. Complete required drilling, safety, and operational documentation accurately and on time. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Rig Manager or company management. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 2 years of drilling rig experience preferred. Previous experience working as a Driller is required. Permian Basin drilling experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of drilling operations, tripping procedures, drilling equipment, and well-control practices. Previous experience supervising and directing a drilling crew. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Requirements Must always work safely and efficiently. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be willing and able to work 12-hour shifts . Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to the assigned rig schedule. Must be capable of safely supervising and directing rig crew personnel. Must be able to perform physically demanding work in outdoor oilfield conditions. Must be able to recognize changing well conditions and respond appropriately. Must comply with Advanced Energy LLC and customer drug, alcohol, safety, and PPE requirements. Must demonstrate strong leadership, dependability, communication, and decision-making skills. Must be willing to participate in required company safety and operational training. Preferred Qualifications Safeland or equivalent oilfield safety orientation is preferred but not necessary. Experience drilling in West Texas and Southeast New Mexico is preferred. Experience with rig moves, skidding operations, and casing operations is preferred.

Pay:

$27.18 - $32.73 per hour Expected hours: 72.0 - 84.0 per week
