Willing to train the person who is eager to learn, can follow directions, adhere to safety standards, and work well in a team. In this role, you will learn to operate the GPS drill locator. You will learn the location of the underground drill head and communicate with the drill operator which direction to steer. Knowledge of utility marks showing where gas, power, telecom, water, sewer are and communicating with the driller to avoid any damages to these facilities. Your CDL will be utilized to move equipment to different job sites or back to the yard. Responsibilities Utilize specialized utility locating equipment and communicate with the drill operator which direction to steer the drill head Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on construction machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance Complete daily Inspection form for Vehicles, Trailers and Equipment used Drive commercial trucks to transport equipment, materials, and personnel safely across job sites while complying with federal safety regulations Support construction utility work by setting up work zones and assisting with site layout Follow all safety regulations, equipment safety procedures, and job site safety standards Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting is helpful Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, digging, and operating machinery for extended periods Able to tolerate a range of weather conditions Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures, if unknown, not afraid to ask so safety is maintained Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Construction or utility work experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued Join our team today if you're ready to build a rewarding career in the construction industry!
