Directional Drilling / Plow Crew Supervisor

Job Description:

Oca Fiber Solutions is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead directional drilling and plow crews for fiber installation projects. This role is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining production efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead directional drill and/or plow crews in the field
• Plan and execute daily job operations
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Coordinate with project managers, locators, and clients
• Operate equipment when needed (directional drill, plow, etc.)
• Train and mentor crew members
• Troubleshoot job site issues and maintain productivity

Requirements:

• Proven experience running directional drill or plow crews
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read prints and understand utility layouts
• Knowledge of fiber installation processes
• Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
• Ability to work outdoors in various conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in fiber optic or underground utility construction
• Equipment operation certifications
• Strong problem-solving skills and jobsite decision-making ability
