Position Summary The Directional Drill Operator / Cable Plow Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining directional drilling and cable plowing equipment used in underground utility and fiber optic installation projects. This position plays a critical role in safely and efficiently completing underground infrastructure work while maintaining high-quality standards and protecting existing utilities. What You'll Do Operate directional drilling and cable plowing equipment safely and efficiently Install underground telecommunications, fiber optic, and utility lines Read utility locates, site plans, and job specifications Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Work closely with laborers and crew members to complete projects on schedule Ensure all work is completed according to safety and quality standards Troubleshoot drilling and installation challenges in the field Maintain accurate jobsite documentation and communicate with supervisors Represent Elexco professionally on all jobsites What We're Looking For Experience operating directional drills and/or cable plows preferred Knowledge of underground utility installation practices Ability to read locates and construction plans Strong attention to safety and detail Dependable work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions CDL preferred or willingness to obtain one Team player with strong communication skills Why Join Elexco?
