Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Metal Framer/Drywall Hanger to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing metal framing systems and hanging drywall efficiently and accurately across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating structurally sound frameworks and smooth wall surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet project specifications. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine framing and drywall installation requirements. Install metal stud framing systems accurately according to safety protocols and project specifications. Hang drywall panels securely using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and fastening. Perform drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and finishing to achieve smooth surfaces ready for painting or further finishing work. Conduct drywall repairs and restoration work, including water damage remediation, mold remediation, and patching damaged areas. Install fixtures, doors, trim carpentry details, and other related components as specified in construction plans. Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of tools and materials. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, drywall installation, metal stud framing, and related trades. Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols on all job sites. Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, screw guns, levels, and measuring devices; familiarity with power tools is essential. Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Experience with drywall taping, mudding, texturing, plastering, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying or related finishing trades is highly desirable. Construction site experience in framing or drywall work within residential or commercial projects is required. Knowledge of the restoration industry including water damage repair or mold remediation is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
