Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper Subcontractor to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance that meets high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects, ensuring safety and precision at every stage. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects while honing your skills in drywall finishing and related trades. Duties Apply tape, mesh, and multiple coats of joint compound to drywall seams, angles, and corners. Fill nail/screw holes, cracks, and gaps. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and protect surrounding finishes.

Requirements Business Documentation:

Must have a registered business name (LLC or Sole Proprietorship) and a valid tax ID (EIN/W-9).

Insurance:

Must carry active General Liability insurance and Workers' Compensation (or a valid exemption certificate).

Tools & Equipment:

Must provide your own professional hand tools, automatic taping tools (bazookas/boxes), scaffolding, stilts, and ladders.

Transportation:

Reliable truck, van, or vehicle capable of transporting your crew and equipment to job sites.

Expertise:

Proven track record of high-quality drywall finishing with references or a portfolio of past work. Proven experience in drywall taping/finishing within a construction environment Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project timelines Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other relevant equipment safely and efficiently Understanding of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent local guidelines Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
