Job Description
G & J Development, Inc. is seeking an experienced Drywall Hanger to join our construction team. We are looking for a dependable, skilled individual with solid hands-on drywall installation experience who takes pride in quality workmanship and works well as part of a team. This is a full-time position working on construction projects in Tucson and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall panels according to project plans and specifications. Hang drywall on walls, ceilings, partitions, and other areas as required. Accurately measure and cut drywall around doors, windows, electrical boxes, fixtures, and other openings. Fasten drywall securely to metal framing using appropriate tools and methods. Read and follow construction plans, drawings, and layouts. Inspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, and quality. Safely operate hand and power tools used for drywall installation. Work efficiently to meet project schedules and production expectations. Coordinate and work effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other trades. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform other construction-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hands-on drywall installation experience preferred. Experience hanging drywall in commercial construction strongly preferred. Ability to measure, cut, fit, and hang drywall accurately and efficiently. Experience working with metal-framed walls and ceilings preferred. Ability to read basic construction plans and drawings. Knowledge of proper drywall installation methods, tools, and materials. Dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be willing and able to travel to job sites throughout Tucson and surrounding areas. Must meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
