The Drywall Finisher is responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces on commercial, and industrial construction projects. This role includes taping, mudding, sanding, patching, and applying finishes to ensure smooth, paint-ready surfaces. The ideal candidate has experience with drywall finishing techniques, pays close attention to detail, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment

Duties:

Apply tape, joint compound, and finishing materials to drywall seams and joints. Smooth and finish drywall surfaces using hand and power tools. Sand finished surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes. Repair cracks, holes, and damaged drywall. Mix and prepare finishing compounds according to specifications. Match textures and finish on repaired or existing surfaces. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous drywall finishing experience preferred. Knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques. Ability to operate hand tools, sanders, and other drywall finishing equipment. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation and regular attendance. This is an on the road position, where you will regularly work nights and weekends. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces. Manual dexterity to handle tools and finishing materials. Ability to work in various indoor and outdoor construction environments.
