Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Renovation Technician to join our team and bring expert craftsmanship to a variety of renovation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for executing comprehensive repair, remodeling, and restoration for residential projects. Your expertise in construction techniques, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools will ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Perform renovation tasks including framing, drywall installation, plastering, flooring, tile laying, cabinetry, and painting to meet project specifications. Operate heavy equipment and power tools safely and effectively to facilitate construction activities. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans. Conduct construction inspection and quality control checks throughout each phase of work to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes. Manage construction site logistics such as material handling, fabrication, concrete forming, masonry, roofing, stucco application, and glass installation. Collaborate with project managers to estimate costs using construction estimating techniques and assist in construction management processes. Execute specialized tasks such as concrete finishing, hardscape installation, restoration work, and trim carpentry with precision. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized job site. Use houzz pro or similar digital tools for project documentation, schematics review, and communication with team members. Experience Proven experience in construction or renovation roles with a strong background in site work and project execution. Hands-on experience with a wide range of skills including carpentry (frame carpentry, door hanging), plumbing, electrical work, masonry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall finishing. Familiarity with construction management practices including scheduling, safety compliance, and quality assurance. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with Bluebeam software is a plus. Knowledge of construction estimating processes for materials and labor costs. Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or excavators is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong understanding of safety standards on construction sites coupled with the ability to identify hazards proactively.
