We are located in Westport and have been in business since 1999. The ideal candidate is a Carpenter with a variety of home improvement skills to support the growth of our business. We have year-round work and offer performance-based advancement in an exciting and fast paced environment with excellent benefits. The candidate MUST pass a pre-employment screening and background check.
Position Description:
Position requires on-site project management and a high level of carpentry. The Kitchen & Bath Installer has expertise in multiple types of home repair, maintenance and remodeling. This position is responsible for maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project within the means of the construction contract.
Responsibilities include:
Overall responsibility of installation from demolition to completion Professionally install cabinetry and woodwork Perform cabinet modifications Perform disconnect/reconnect of electrical/plumbing fixtures and appliances Perform low voltage electrical installation Drywall - repair / patching / caulking Flooring repair and installation Painting interior and exterior Tile installation Capable of climbing on ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds Perform service work outside of kitchen and bath installations Scheduling, project budgeting and jobsite safety Communicate effectively with office staff and maintain regular client contact
Knowledge and Experience:
Minimum 3+ years' experience installing both framed & frameless cabinetry Additional experience in rough carpentry preferred Knowledge of all code requirements for kitchens and baths projects Must have experience in the remodeling or home repair trades Must have current driver's license, tools, vehicle and good references Must read, write and speak English Must have a smart phone and access to the internet
