Responsibilities Prepare surfaces and structures by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal waterproofing adhesion. Install waterproofing membranes, coatings, and sealants accurately following blueprints and technical drawings. Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and apply materials such as membrane sheets, tar, or liquid coatings. Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine proper application techniques and material quantities. Conduct inspections during and after installation to ensure waterproofing integrity and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate seamless integration of waterproofing with building systems. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly. Follow safety protocols diligently when working at heights using ladders or scaffolding; utilize personal protective equipment at all times. Assist with remodeling projects involving tile masonry, drywall, stucco, or fixture installation as needed. Document work progress through detailed reports and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients regarding project status. Experience Proven construction site experience with a focus on waterproofing installation or related trades such as masonry, tiling, or roofing. Familiarity with technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans for accurate material application. Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, brushes), power tools (e.g., drills), tape measures, and other construction equipment. Knowledge of building materials including membranes, sealants, caulking compounds, plastering products, drywall systems, and gutter installation techniques. Experience interpreting technical specifications related to plumbing, electrical systems, or remodeling projects is a plus. Ability to perform dimensional measurements precisely for proper material fitting and placement. Strong understanding of safety procedures when working at heights or with hazardous materials; comfortable using ladders safely. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines and quality standards. Construction management or estimating experience is advantageous for coordinating project phases efficiently.
