Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Installer and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Measure, cut, install, and secure drywall panels using hand tools and power tools to ensure precise fitting according to construction plans. Apply drywall mud (joint compound), tape seams, and sand surfaces to achieve a seamless finish suitable for painting or texturing. Read blueprints and technical drawings to interpret project specifications accurately. Perform drywall repairs, patching damaged areas, and restoring surfaces following water damage or other incidents. Execute drywall texturing techniques such as knockdown, popcorn, or spray textures to match existing finishes. Collaborate with framing carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes on-site. Follow all construction workplace safety regulations and adhere strictly to safety protocols during every phase of work. Requirements Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing, taping, mudding, and repair within a construction environment. Strong knowledge of construction plans, blueprints, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., trowels, knives) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders). Familiarity with metal stud framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, stucco application, and fixture installation is a plus. Understanding of construction estimating processes and ability to read construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Additional skills such as plastering, water damage restoration, mold remediation, remodeling experience, flooring installation, tile laying or airless paint spraying are advantageous.
