The Leonard A. Kraus Company, Inc. was formed as a corporation in 1970. We are a specialty subcontractor providing services associated with light gauge metal framing trusses, panel fabrication, light gauge metal framing, drywall assemblies, insulation and acoustical ceilings. Our mission is to provide quality commercial construction services on all projects. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Drywall Finisher to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson with a strong background in commercial interior/exterior construction—specifically light-gauge metal framing, drywall hanging, and acoustical ceiling installation.
Key Responsibilities Expert Finishing:
Perform high-quality drywall finishing tasks including, but not limited to, mesh taping, paper taping, spackling, fast-mask application, and No-Coat installation to meet strict commercial architectural standards.
Site Safety & Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant job site. Install surface protection and safety signage, organize tools/equipment, and secure the site daily to eliminate potential hazards.
Staging & Rigging:
Safely erect and disassemble ladders, scaffolding, barriers, and staging platforms as required by OSHA and company safety policies.
Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate and provide assistance to carpenters, framers, and other trades on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
Position Requirements Proven Experience:
Demonstrable experience in commercial construction drywall finishing, framing, or a closely related trade.
Legal & Security:
Must be able to provide valid documentation to pass mandatory project-specific background checks.
Reliability:
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation to commute to various jobsites.
Professional Adaptability:
Ability to multitask, follow complex architectural instructions/blueprints, and work overtime hours when project deadlines require it.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to handle the physical demands of commercial construction, including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
