Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces to create smooth, durable walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects, ensuring safety and precision at every step. Duties Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels using hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, and taping knives Finish drywall surfaces by applying mudding (joint compound), sanding, texturing, and repairing damaged areas to achieve a flawless appearance Interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute drywall layout and installation Install metal stud framing, trim carpentry elements, doors, fixtures, and perform drywall taping and texturing for a polished look Ensure compliance with construction workplace safety regulations by adhering to safety protocols during all phases of installation and finishing Perform restoration industry tasks such as water damage remediation, mold remediation, plastering, and masonry repairs as needed Collaborate with team members on framing (including metal studs), plumbing rough-ins, electrical fixtures, and other related construction activities Requirements Proven experience in drywall installation, finishing (mudding/taping), repair, and texturing within a construction environment Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints and technical schematics accurately Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., knives, trowels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and specialized equipment used in drywall work Familiarity with construction safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent local safety protocols Ability to read construction plans thoroughly and follow detailed instructions precisely Experience with related trades such as carpentry (trim carpentry), framing (metal studs), flooring installation, tile laying or painting is a plus Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques or mold remediation is advantageous Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality assurance Join our team if you're passionate about craftsmanship in the construction industry!
