Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Drywall Finisher, Hanger, and General Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces, as well as performing a wide variety of routine and emergency property maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate has an eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to handle diverse hand-on projects independently. Duties & Responsibilities Drywall Hanging & Finishing Measure and cut drywall panels to fit walls, ceilings, and tight spaces around outlets or pipes. Hang and secure drywall sheets to wooden or metal studs using screws, nails, or adhesives. Apply joint compound (mud) and fiberglass mesh or paper tape over drywall seams, corners, and nail heads. Sand surfaces between coats to eliminate imperfections and achieve a smooth, seamless finish (Levels 3 to 5). Texture walls and ceilings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes when required. Plumbing Maintenance Diagnose and repair leaks in water supply, drainage, and waste lines under sinks, behind walls, or in crawlspaces. Install and replace plumbing fixtures including toilets, sinks, faucets, garbage disposals, and shower heads. Work with piping materials to repair or modify lines using PVC, and copper soldering/sweating/pro-press. Clear stubborn clogs in sinks, toilets, and secondary drains using manual or power snakes. Replace internal components such as toilet flappers, fill valves, cartridges, and shut-off valves. Tile Work & General Flooring Prepare subfloors by leveling surfaces, installing cement backer boards, and applying waterproofing membranes. Lay out and install ceramic, porcelain, or stone tiles on floors, backsplashes, and shower surrounds. Cut and shape tiles precisely using wet saws or tile cutters to fit around obstacles like toilet flanges and drains. Apply mortar, grout, and sealant to ensure durable, clean, and water-resistant finishes. Install general flooring materials including luxury vinyl plank (LVP), laminate, and engineered wood. General Maintenance & Facility Repairs Perform carpentry tasks, including repairing or replacing doors, trim, baseboards, and cabinetry hardware. Handle basic electrical fixes, such as replacing light fixtures, wall switches, smoke detectors, and wall outlets. Patch and paint interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring perfect color and texture matches after completing wall repairs. Respond to work orders promptly, documenting completed repairs and tracking materials used.
