Painter Location:
Troy, MI Fulltime Position Overview The Painter position is responsible for all aspects of painting both the interiors and exteriors of structures, buildings, and other surfaces. This position will select the appropriate materials for each project and properly prepare surfaces and surrounding areas prior to painting. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship are essential to ensure high-quality results. Key Responsibilities Read blueprints, instructions, and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding and covering fixtures Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, removing old paint, and taping off areas as required Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials Mix paint and other materials to achieve the correct color and texture Paint surfaces according to specifications using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools Apply varnishes, sealants, and other finishes Adhere to all company health and safety regulations Maintain clean and organized job sites and company vehicles Participate in after-hours emergency on-call rotation Other projects and duties as assigned Experience and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 1+ years of professional painting experience Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques Extensive hands-on drywall experience, including hanging, taping, mudding, finishing, repairing, and applying/matching drywall textures Ability to complete drywall work from installation through final finish , not just basic drywall preparation or patching Construction, restoration, or insurance industry experience preferred Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship English language literacy and communication skills required Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines Valid driver's license required Additional Requirements Must be able to pass a background check Clean driving record required Must be authorized to work in the United States Physical Requirements Occasional lifting from 5-40 lbs. unassisted Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, and move throughout the workday as needed Manual dexterity required for repetitive tasks and use of painting tools/equipment Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Compensation and Benefits Our Client offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, Employee Assistance Program, paid holidays, paid time off, and a 401(k) with company match.Pay range:
