Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Technician to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drywall installation, finishing, and related construction tasks. This role involves working on various commercial and residential projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Candidates with a background in construction. This position offers opportunities for professional growth within the restoration industry and general construction sectors. Responsibilities Install drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and blueprints Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture as required Repair water damage, mold remediation, and other restoration-related tasks involving drywall and related materials Perform caulking, and Other necessary preparation to finish interior homes. Read schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation and finishing of drywall components Coordinate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, and flooring installation for seamless project completion Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times Skills Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project execution Skilled in plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, tile laying, and flooring installation Familiarity with water damage restoration processes and mold remediation procedures Ability to operate tools such as airless paint sprayers, hand tools, and scaffolding safely Experience with fixture installation, door hanging, metal stud framing, and schematics interpretation Background in the restoration industry or remodeling projects is highly desirable Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and protocols Maintenance Person experience or general construction skills including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or painting is a plus This position is essential for delivering high-quality drywall solutions across diverse projects.
