Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented drywall finisher / painter to join our team. As a drywall finisher / painter, you must be deadline-driven with great attention to detail. To be successful as a drywall finisher, you should be able to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining a high quality of work. Responsibilities Taping and Mudding:

Apply joint compound (mud) and embed tape over drywall seams, joints, and corners using hand tools or automatic taping tools.

Sanding and Smoothing:

Sand dried layers of compound to achieve a uniform, level surface that meets required finish levels (Level 1 through Level 5).

Repair and Patching:

Fix cracks, holes, nail pops, and water-damaged areas on existing or newly installed drywall. Proficient at caulking.

Corner Trim Installation:

Install metal or paper corner beads to protect and define external edges.

Texturing:

Match existing wall textures or apply new decorative textures (like knockdown or orange peel) as specified by the project.

Site Safety:

Maintain a clean work area and follow safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines. Proficient in filling nail wholes, caulking, baseboards, door casings, etc. Proficient in

Trim Prep Surface Preparation:

Clean walls, fill cracks or holes with putty, sand rough spots, and remove old paint or wallpaper.

Protection:

Cover floors, furniture, and fixtures with drop cloths or tape to prevent paint spills.

Application:

Mix custom colors and apply primers, paints, varnishes, or sealants using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Restore the work area, remove protective coverings, and clean all tools and equipment. Requirement and Qualifications Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial painting techniques. Experience of 3+ years of commercial or residential drywall finishing experience Physical stamina and comfort working on ladders or scaffolding. Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift heavy materials, and work in dusty environments for long hours. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong dexterity to use taping knives, hawks, mud pans, and mechanical sanders with precision. Ability to interpret project drawings, architectural plans, and specifications.

Education:

High school diploma or GED; completion of an apprenticeship or technical training program is often preferred

Pay:

$20.00 - $40.00 per hour
