Job Description

Kendal at Hanover is a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, employing over 300 staff members and home to 400 residents. Kendal at Hanover is seeking a skilled and dependable First Shift Lead Painter/Drywall Finisher to join our Facilities team. You'll be responsible for preparing, painting, refinishing, and maintaining interior and exterior surfaces across our campus, including resident apartments, healthcare areas, offices, and community spaces. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. You also must have a valid, unexpired driver's license for this position.
Primary roles and responsibilities include:
Lead painting projects and coordinate with internal staff and contractors Perform surface preparation: patching, sanding, taping, priming, sealing Apply paint, stains, and coatings using industry best practices Maintain a clean, safe work environment, respecting resident living spaces Accurately document work in our computer systems and communicate updates Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and timely project completion Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members The successful candidate for this role will have a high school degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with lead or supervisory experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred, demonstrated ability to communicate and interact respectfully and effectively with a diverse group of people, demonstrated ability to work independently and as well as part of a team. Proficiency in residential/ commercial painting techniques and safety standards, strong organizational, communication, and time management skills, and basic computer skills; work order systems experience a plus. A valid driver's license is required. Must be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces.
