Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly finishing drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance that meets project specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the overall quality and aesthetic of residential, commercial, or industrial spaces. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in drywall texturing, taping, mudding, and repair while adhering to safety standards and construction plans. Duties Apply drywall compound (mud) and tape to seams, joints, and corners for a seamless finish. Sand and smooth drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or finishing. Install drywall panels according to blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring precise placement. Perform drywall repairs and restoration work on damaged or water-damaged surfaces. Use hand tools and power tools such as taping knives, sanders, drills, and saws to complete tasks efficiently. Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation. Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations during every phase of work. Skills •Painter is a plus Extensive experience in drywall installation, texturing, taping, mudding, and repair techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Knowledge of construction estimating and understanding project scope requirements. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in drywall finishing and carpentry. Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols. Experience with related trades such as metal stud framing, plastering, trim carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, and masonry is a plus. Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration. Ability to interpret technical drawings related to plumbing, electrical fixtures, or fixture installation. Skilled in drywall texturing techniques such as spray textures or decorative finishes. Knowledge of caulking, door hanging, framing carpentry, remodeling projects, and general handyman skills enhances versatility.
