Duties Apply drywall joint compound (mud) using hand tools and power tools to create smooth, even surfaces on walls and ceilings Tape drywall seams with precision, ensuring tight joints that prevent cracking or imperfections Sand and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a flawless appearance suitable for painting or texturing Repair damaged drywall by cutting out compromised sections and replacing or patching as needed Texturize walls and ceilings using various techniques such as spray, roller, or hand application for desired finishes Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute drywall installation and finishing tasks Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, including proper handling of tools and materials Skills Extensive experience with drywall installation, taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing techniques Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution Strong knowledge of construction estimating and understanding of project scopes Skilled in using hand tools (trowels, knives, sanders) and power tools (drills, screw guns) safely and effectively Familiarity with metal stud framing, plastering, carpentry, and related trades such as flooring installation or tile laying is a plus Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards and hazard mitigation practices Experience in water damage restoration or mold remediation is advantageous but not required Capable of working on construction sites with varying conditions while maintaining high safety standards Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges during projects Embark on a rewarding career path where your craftsmanship makes a visible difference!
