Overview We are seeking a skilled Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our construction team, dedicated to delivering high-quality interior and exterior wall finishes across diverse projects. Responsibilities Measure, cut, and hang drywall panels accurately according to construction plans and schematics Apply drywall mud (joint compound) and tape seams to create smooth wall surfaces Perform drywall texturing, sanding, and finishing to achieve desired aesthetic effects Repair damaged drywall sections efficiently, restoring surfaces to original condition Install metal stud framing, trim carpentry, and fixtures as required for comprehensive wall systems Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise installation Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol guidelines during all phases of work Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for drywall installation and finishing tasks Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, and masonry teams on integrated projects Assist in remodeling, restoration industry projects, or water damage restoration efforts as needed Skills Extensive experience in drywall installation, mudding, taping, and texturing techniques Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to construction plans Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and material requirements Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise project execution Experience with metal stud framing, plastering, caulking, and fixture installation Knowledge of mold remediation, water damage restoration procedures, and construction painting is advantageous Skilled in handling drywall repair projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and understanding project requirements Demonstrated ability to work safely on construction sites with adherence to all safety protocols This role is ideal for individuals committed to craftsmanship excellence within the construction industry.
