Drywall Taper Key Responsibilities:

Drywall Finishing & Taping Apply drywall tape, joint compound, and finishing materials to walls and ceilings. Finish drywall joints, corners, fasteners and seams to project specifications. Apply multiple coats of joint compound and sand surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional finish. Repair imperfections and prepare drywall surfaces for texture, primer, or paint. Perform taping and finishing work on commercial and multi-family constructions projects. Maintain consistent quality and productivity while meeting project schedules. Quality & Workmanship Inspect completed work to ensure it meets KYCO Services' quality standards. Identify and correct imperfections before final completion. Maintain attention to detail throughout the taping and finishing process. Complete work efficiently while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship. Properly use and care for taping tools, equipment, and materials. Teamwork & Communication Follow direction from foremen, superintendents, and project management. Coordinate with drywall crews, and other trades to maintain an efficient workflow. Communicate job-site concerns, material needs, or project issues promptly. Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines. Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Safety & Job Standards Follow all company safety policies and job-site procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly handle tools, equipment, and materials. Report unsafe conditions or job-site concerns promptly. Follow project-specific safety requirements at all times. Qualifications Previous drywall taping and finishing experience required. Ability to finish drywall with a Holy Smooth texture required. Experience with commercial and/or multi-family construction preferred. Knowledge of drywall finishing techniques, materials, and tools. Ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the workday. Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent work schedule. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Work is completed efficiently and according to construction schedules. Tools, materials, and work areas are maintained properly. Safety requirements are consistently followed.
