Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces on various construction projects. Your expertise will help create smooth, durable wall surfaces that meet high-quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new builds to restoration jobs, ensuring spaces are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate is energetic, skilled in multiple facets of drywall work, and eager to contribute to a collaborative team environment. Duties Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels according to project specifications and blueprints Finish drywall seams with taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve a flawless surface Repair damaged drywall or existing surfaces during renovation or restoration projects Install additional components such as trim carpentry, door hanging, or fixture installation as needed Read schematics and blueprints to accurately interpret project requirements and ensure precise installation Apply plastering techniques and caulking to seal joints and create smooth finishes Collaborate with carpenters, masons, plumbers, and other trades to coordinate project tasks effectively Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris regularly Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure construction site experience for everyone involved Skills Extensive experience with drywall installation and finishing techniques Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation Proficiency in related skills such as plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and tile laying Familiarity with construction estimating processes and project planning Hands-on experience with construction site operations including framing, masonry, flooring installation, and metal stud framing Ability to operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, and construction painting is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in finishing work Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding project needs Join us in delivering exceptional craftsmanship on every project!
