We're looking for an electrician who works the same way. You're a Fit If You Can find the actual problem, not just the symptom, and won't wire around something that isn't safe Have the confidence to walk a client through what went wrong and how you fixed it, without talking down to them Get in, solve the problem, and get it done right; you're not looking to make two trips when one will do Are patient with a client's questions and careful with their space, even when you're moving efficiently to finish the job Notice a burning smell, a warm panel, or a sound that isn't right before it becomes a real problem, even if that means getting into an attic or crawlspace to check it yourself Keep your work area organized while you're there, and leave the site better than you found it, not just the part you came to fix Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues Read construction plans and follow directions on the job Check the scope of work Explain electrical issues to clients in terms they understand Keep the job site clean and leave it better than you found it Log notes, pictures, and timecard for every job in Jobber Be on time Skills Know how to troubleshoot electrical equipment Know electrical code: for example, the highest breaker you can install on a panel, the correct grounding requirement for an electrical panel, or how many outlets you can fit in a room Follow safety protocols: safety glasses, a mask when going under the house or in the attic, lockout/tagout, etc. Comfortable using Jobber Use common sense on construction installations Note on application process: To be considered for this role, candidates must complete the HumanOp assessment.
