Job Overview This Electrical Apprentice (Career-Focused) role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled electricians on diverse projects. You will be instrumental in assisting with electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance across various settings, including commercial and industrial sites. This paid apprenticeship is designed to empower motivated individuals to grow their skills, expand their knowledge of electrical systems, and prepare for a successful career as a licensed electrician. Duties Assist experienced electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. Use hand tools, power tools, and low voltage testing equipment such as ohmmeters to perform tasks accurately and safely. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support electrical installations and troubleshooting efforts. Support the setup and framing of construction sites by collaborating with carpenters on frame carpentry tasks as needed. Conduct basic inspections of electrical components, including high voltage and low voltage systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols on construction sites and handling electrical materials responsibly. Learn to identify electrical issues using schematics, troubleshoot circuits with testing devices, and assist in resolving system faults efficiently. Qualifications Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or residential electrician work is a plus; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Strong interest in a long-term apprenticeship/career path with Conductive Electric Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and electrical safety standards such as NEC is advantageous. Strong interest in developing skills related to low voltage systems, high voltage work, and general construction site procedures. Ability to work effectively on construction sites while adhering to safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment. Good communication skills with a willingness to learn from experienced professionals. Physical ability to stand, walk, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the workday.
