The helper will perform labor duties and assistance related to the installation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.

Duties Include:

Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit. Use measuring instruments and hand tools. Trace out short circuit in wiring. Strip insulations from wire ends. Attach wire to terminals. Examine electrical units for loose connections. Identify broken insulation and tighten connections. Drill holes, pull wire and thread conduit. Disassemble defective electrical equipment. Replace defective or worn parts. Reassemble equipment using hand tools. Dig trenches or hold and install conduit and supports. Keep work area and equipment clean of debris. Transport tools, materials and supplies for worksite.
