Job Description Job Description Looking to build a long-term career in the electrical trade? Vanzant's Electrical Services, Inc. is seeking a motivated, reliable Commercial Electrical Apprentice / Helper to join our crew! You'll work alongside experienced Lead Electricians on commercial properties, retail builds, and new construction projects-gaining high-value, hands-on experience every day.
What You'll Be Doing Assist Lead Electricians:
Help install, bend, and route EMT and Rigid conduit systems.
Wire & Power:
Assist with pulling heavy feeders and branch circuit wiring through conduit runs.
Equipment & Fixtures:
Help install commercial lighting, switchgear, panels, and transformers.
Plan Reading:
Learn to read and interpret commercial blueprints, schematics, and job layouts.
Site Safety:
Maintain a clean, organized job site and strictly follow OSHA safety standards.
What We're Looking For Tools:
Must own and bring basic trade hand tools, cordless drill, tool bag, screwdrivers, drill bits, wire strippers, and essentials.
Physical Capabilities:
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work on scaffolding, operate scissor lifts, and shovel/prep when needed.
Logistics:
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and able to pass a background check.
Reliability:
Must be punctual, dependable, and available to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
Education & Skills:
High school diploma or GED required (trade school enrollment is a plus!). Familiarity with conduit benders, wire pullers, or multimeters is a definite bonus. Why Join Vanzant's Electrical Services?
