This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced electricians and learn the skills, tools, and processes involved in underground electrical construction while gaining hands-on experience in the electrical trade. Fountain Services has been serving the Carolinas since 1946 and invests in our people through hands-on experience, training, career development, and our Registered Apprenticeship Program for eligible employees. You don't have to be an experienced electrician to succeed in this role. We're looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working outdoors and around construction equipment, and ready to build a career in the electrical trade. What You'll Do Assist electricians with underground electrical installations Help install underground conduit, raceway, and duct bank systems Assist with pulling and handling wire, cable, and feeders Load, unload, move, and organize electrical materials and equipment Assist with excavation and preparation for underground electrical installations Perform general construction and concrete-related tasks as needed Assist with setting up work areas and preparing tools and materials Help maintain clean and organized job sites Work safely around excavators, mini excavators, and other construction equipment Assist with the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical installation equipment Follow directions from Foremen, Journeymen, and other experienced electricians Follow all company, job-site, and OSHA safety requirements Perform other duties as assigned to support the commercial electrical team What We're Looking For Previous construction experience preferred, but not required Interest in learning the electrical trade Comfortable working outdoors and in an active construction environment Willingness to work around excavation and heavy equipment Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn Commitment to working safely and producing quality work If you're ready to get your start in the electrical trade and want to learn from experienced commercial electricians, apply today.
