Job Overview Gain and expand your experience in the electrical field as a full-time Electrical Helper with Zold Electric Inc. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to build hands-on skills while working on a wide range of commercial and residential electrical projects. We serve an extensive network of counties across New York, giving you valuable exposure to diverse job sites and project types. As an Electrical Helper, you will work alongside experienced electrical journeymen , gaining practical knowledge and developing the foundational skills needed for a successful career in the electrical trade. Through structured training and access to extensive resources, we support your development and help you build the skills and certifications to expand your profession. Duties Assist your journeyman electrician in following; Installing electrical systems Installing lighting, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers Installing sound systems, security systems, and voice and data systems Threading conduit ends and connecting couplings and conduit fittings Securing brackets to bulkheads and pulling wire through conduit Rewiring homes and businesses Replacing faulty circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and electronic components Troubleshooting within residential homes Installing new lighting and appliances Assisting in the repair of motors, transformers, generators, and electronic controllers Communication with engineers, technicians and maintenance workers on site Read blueprints and referencing NEC compliance codes Monitoring inventory for shop and company vehicles Qualifications OSHA 10 (required upon employment) OSHA 30 (recommended) Drivers License Use of basic hand tools Employee Benefits Paid Vacation Paid Sick Leave Paid Personal Leave Paid Holidays 401(k) On Job Training Tuition Reimbursement Overtime Available Double Time Available Training Opportunities Monthly Inhouse training Certification courses through third parties
