Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Monitor to support the educational and social development of students in a classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, and possess strong communication and conflict management skills. As a Monitor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment, ensuring student safety, and assisting educators in implementing effective behavior management strategies. Duties Supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities. Provide support to students with special education needs, fostering an inclusive environment. Communicate effectively with students to encourage participation and engagement. Manage conflicts among students using effective conflict resolution techniques. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior in the classroom. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. May have to assist child with toileting. Requirements Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of special education practices is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff. Ability to manage conflicts and implement behavior management techniques. First aid certification is a plus. A passion for educating and supporting children in their development. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team within the classroom setting.
