Full Job Description Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Helper Electrician to support panel shop operations. This role involves assembling electrical control panels, maintaining shop organization, and assisting with inventory and material handling. Attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Especially clean, organized wiring, are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment Assist with inventory control, material staging, and restocking Assemble control panels and electrical enclosures Mount electrical components including relays, terminal blocks, breakers, and VFDs Perform electrical tasks such as wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and labeling Test and verify completed panels under supervision Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Follow standard panel shop practices and layout conventions Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment as required Support additional shop or field tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of electrical systems and components preferred Ability to read and follow schematics and wiring diagrams is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced electricians Dependable with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and position materials and equipment up to 50 lbs regularly Ability to assist with handling and mounting heavier equipment (e.g., junction boxes, control panels, VFDs) with team support or lifting equipment Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and working with hands Ability to work in a shop environment with varying noise levels
