Utility I•Work-Based Learning This role is part of Mohawk Industries Work-Based Learning Program (WBLP) andis only open to qualifying students currently enrolled in a High School WBL program. The WBLP with Mohawk is designed to allow students the ability to learn, develop and build onto their industry related skills within Yarn Department while completing a High School curriculum.
Your Role:
Operate different kinds of machinery Perform custodial/janitorial tasks as needed Handle raw materials and final products as needed Fill in for other operators as needed Inspect for quality, malfunctions, and defects as needed May be required to perform inventory, clerical, and/or administrative tasks May be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as lift trucks, etc. Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary Perform other tasks assigned by management
Qualifications:
Current High School Junior or Senior, at least 18 years old Read and write in Standard English Complete basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction Communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports Maintain an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines
