Competitive DOE + Prevailing Wage Overview We are a non-union commercial contractor seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician for a commercial construction projects in Southcentral Alaska and remote locations if applicable . This position requires strong technical skills, independence, and the ability to work efficiently in challenging locations with limited supervision. Candidates must be comfortable adapting to Alaska weather, logistics, and site conditions. Key Responsibilities Install commercial electrical systems including conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) Pull and terminate wire Install panels, switchgear, and distribution systems Install lighting systems and controls Perform rough-in and trim-out work Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Troubleshoot electrical issues Ensure NEC and safety compliance Work independently or with small crews Maintain clean and safe job sites Communicate with foremen and project managers Required Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license (Alaska or ability to obtain) 5+ years commercial electrical experience Strong conduit bending and layout skills Ability to work independently Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in Alaska weather conditions Ability to pass GSA background check Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Generator or temporary power experience Equipment operation Compensation and Benefits Prevailing wage if applicable Competitive hourly wage (DOE) Per diem provided Travel to and from remote sites covered Overtime opportunities Steady commercial work Health Insurance / 401
