Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC/Electrician professional to join our team and deliver top-tier mechanical and electrical solutions across various property maintenance projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical installations. As a vital part of our maintenance crew, you will ensure the optimal operation of HVAC systems, electrical equipment, and related mechanical components, providing exceptional service to our clients and maintaining the safety and efficiency of their facilities. Your expertise will help keep environments comfortable, safe, and compliant with industry standards. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform electrical work such as wiring, circuit testing with ohmmeters, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes. Conduct plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems or property maintenance projects. Utilize welding skills for system repairs or fabrication needs; operate various tools including field service equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems using specialized tools; perform equipment repair and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Support HVAC design modifications or upgrades; assist in the planning of new installations based on client needs. Drive company vehicles responsibly to various job sites; adhere to safety protocols during all field service activities. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, schematics used, and parts inventory for accountability and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC technician or electrician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration). Mechanical knowledge of boilers, pumps, ductwork, electrical wiring, appliances repair, and general building systems. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes. Field service experience with a focus on appliance repair and system diagnostics. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC setups; familiarity with welding techniques is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for site travel. Skilled in using ohmmeters and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Certifications in HVAC or electrician trades are highly desirable; ongoing training in HVAC design or advanced refrigeration is advantageous.
