Electrical Service Technician

• 32/hour, based on relevant experience Full-time position on-site in Huntsville, AL

• Friday, 6:30 am
• 3:00 pm Opportunity to travel out-of-state for field service assignments for additional pay Comprehensive benefits package:

• Paid vacation, 401(k) + profit sharing (available after 1 year) Key Responsibilities Remove and document electrical systems from used machinery Clean, modify, and prepare electrical enclosures for painting and reinstallation Lay out and mount electrical components according to BOM and electrical diagrams Wire complete control panels in accordance with industry-standard wiring practices and schematics Fabricate and assemble plugs, cables, and machine wiring per electrical diagram Apply sound judgment to decide if parts should be reworked, replaced, or substituted Perform systematic start-up checks and commission machines, including PLC and drive programming Configure electronic parameters specific to machine type or project requirements Troubleshoot faults during start-up, accurately documenting all tests and results Diagnose and solve electrical system failures including root-cause analysis of mechanical contributing factors Provide remote support to customers for routine technical problems Report to the Operations and Plant Managers; follow project-specific instructions Keep your workstation and all shared spaces organized, clean, and safe Represent Bruderer professionally to visiting customers and students Work Environment & Physical Activity Candidates must be able to: Perform physically demanding tasks including cutting, drilling, tapping, and fastening components by hand Lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation Work in an industrial environment with hazardous chemicals, high-voltage electrical systems, and heavy machinery Safely use ladders, power tools, cranes, forklifts, and heavy or sharp hand tools Consistently wear required PPE and adhere to OSHA safety standards Required Experience & Qualifications 5+ years servicing the electrical systems of heavy industrial equipment, or similar role•Experience with stamping presses and their control systems is a plus Ability to diagnose root causes of mechanical and electrical machine failures Proficiency working from blueprints and schematics using metric measurements Adept at handling and rigging parts with hoists, cranes, and lifts Adept at using power tools, precision hand tools, and electrical test equipment (voltmeter, ammeter, multimeter) High level of electrical and mechanical aptitude with attention to detail Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
