We need a highly skilled Journeyman Level Industrial Electrician to keep our manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently. The Journeyman Level Industrial Electrician works a stable Monday-Friday day shift schedule while learning our facilities, mastering our processes and seamlessly onboarding with our team before transitioning to our rotating shift structure, later next year .

YOUR ROLE

Safety & Compliance First Perform all work in absolute accordance with company safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and OSHA regulations. Maintain strict compliance with

NFPA 70, NFPA

70E, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Electrical Maintenance & Diagnostics Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing systems to minimize production downtime. Diagnose and repair failures in motors, MCCs, VFDs, process sensors, and control circuits. Read, interpret, and accurately update electrical schematics and blueprints. Utilize advanced testing tools including multimeters, meggers, oscilloscopes, process meters, loop calibrators, and clamp meters. Automation, Robotics & Controls Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, machine automation systems, and industrial networks. Diagnose, repair, and modify PLC/HMI programs (Rockwell platforms) as required to optimize production. Program, troubleshoot, and maintain ABB robotics, servo systems, and motion control hardware. Perform precision calibrations on analog and digital process instrumentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED paired with formal electrical education, a registered apprenticeship, military electrical training, or equivalent heavy industrial maintenance experience.

Technical Skills:

Proven experience with Rockwell Automation software (Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View, RSLogix, CCW), Yaskawa DriveWizard, Allen-Bradley VFDs, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

Shift Flexibility:

Must be able to work the current Monday-Friday day shift and successfully transition to a rotating shift/weekend schedule within the next 12 months.

Physical Capabilities:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Environment:

Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in a loud, dusty manufacturing environment containing sawdust, vibrations, and shifting weather elements. (All advanced PPE and arc-flash gear is company-provided).

Licensing:

Valid driver's license required; ability to safely operate mobile equipment (forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts) once certified.

Transparent Pay Scale Breakdown:

We believe in paying for performance and technical expertise. Your starting hourly rate within our $36.00 -$46.00 range will be directly tied to your hands-on experience with advanced automation controls: $36.00 - $39.00 (Base Journeyman Tier): Full safety compliance mastery, expert 480V 3-phase troubleshooting, motor control centers (MCCs), industrial conduit/wiring, and baseline troubleshooting of PLC-controlled machinery. $40.00 - $43.00 (Advanced Automation Tier): Proficient with online PLC diagnostics (Studio 5000/RSLogix), navigating ladder logic, calibrating analog/digital instrumentation, and independently servicing Allen-Bradley and Yaskawa VFDs. $44.00 - $46.00 (Master Controls & Robotics Tier): Full mastery of modifying PLC/HMI programs, advanced industrial network diagnostics, and hands-on programming/troubleshooting of ABB Robotics and complex servo systems.
