Job Title Electrician II Position Number M14711 Division President - PRS Department Electrical Department FLSA Non-Exempt Salary Grade 114 Salary Classification Classified Annual Salary Range Hourly Salary Range $17.81 - $23.75 Employment Status Full Time 12 Mos Regular General Description The purpose of this position is to perform skilled electrical work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances within University facilities and grounds in compliance with building and safety code specifications. Essential Job Duties 1. Maintain and repair electrical lighting in all buildings. 2. Install electrical wiring for new installations on campus. 3. Repair various electrical problems as they occur. 4. Repair outdoor lighting fixtures on campus. 5. Perform work on high and low-voltage equipment. 6. Work with other craftsmen to expedite repairs as needed. 7. Assist with the supervision of other electrical personnel as requested. Additional Duties Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of electrical systems and how to safely repair them; Knowledge of the tools and materials needed for any given situation; Basic computer skills; Knowledge of policies and procedures of the University of Montevallo; Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Technical knowledge and problem solving skills; Ability to maintain successful working relationships, demonstrating diplomacy, tact and discretion; Knowledge of work-place safety guidelines; Ability to work in inclement weather conditions; Proficient in all phases of the electrical trade; Knowledge of the latest National Electric Codes; haAbility to work on-call and/or before or after normal work hours as needed. Education and Experience The educational requirement for this position is: High School diploma/GED. Education substituted for experience?

No This position requires:
