Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on construction sites, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise wiring layouts. Diagnose electrical system issues using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; troubleshoot complex electrical problems efficiently. Install high-voltage and low-voltage electrical wiring systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and local electrical codes. Manage the installation of industrial electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, and control panels. Ensure all work complies with electrical safety procedures, including proper use of hand tools, power tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and adherence to OSHA regulations. Coordinate with other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman teams during renovation or construction projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical work. Maintain detailed records of all installations, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting activities for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Skills Extensive experience as an industrial electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Deep understanding of local electrical codes (such as NEC) and NFPA 70 compliance requirements for safe installations. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical equipment. Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics for precise wiring layouts during installation or repairs. Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures to prevent hazards on construction sites or industrial facilities. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
