Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, particularly in construction settings. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The Journeyperson Electrician will work on various projects, including renovations and new constructions, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Duties Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential and commercial settings. Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete electrical installations effectively. Troubleshoot electrical issues using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools. Work with low voltage systems, ensuring proper installation and functionality. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution. Renovate existing electrical systems as required by project specifications. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician or similar role in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams related to electrical systems. Experience with frame carpentry is an advantage but not mandatory. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
