An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
Low Voltage technician, Network, CCTV and Access Control CTIS is currently looking to add Access Control, CCTV and Cabling Technician to our team.
Low Voltage Technician:
Cabling Technicians are responsible for performing on-site installations of voice, data, access controls, CCTV, gate operators, paging systems and fiber optics systems. Work consists of installation, alteration, addition and/or repairs of systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the construction industries. Our technicians are client-facing resources of our company that develop high-level relationships with clients through ongoing communications, problem resolution, and quality service. Responsible for coordinating and performing on-site installations of systems. Install voice, CCTV, access controls, paging systems, gate operators and data cabling to specifications. Perform access control, security, and CCTV installations professionally and provide quality service. Efficiently and accurately terminate Cat5, Cat6, Cat6A access controls, paging systems and fiber optic cabling. Must have the ability to set and manage customer expectations. Responsible for reporting to the customer and company management. Must be able to read, understand, and perform project scope of work. Must be proficient at building out network closets. Must be able to install proper grounding for IT equipment. Perform accurate testing, labeling, and documentation of all jobs. Responsible for managing crews, job hours, and material associated with a project. Must be able to determine and manage materials and manhours for a project. Safety standards that meet OSHA requirements. Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance. Must be willing to work overtime. Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Install conduit per scope of work. Wire and conduit sizing Device installation and termination Layout and preparation for installation layout projects and rough-in Trouble shooting. Fully comprehends electrical theory and NFPA 70 National Electrical Code Use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to perform tasks effectively with little or no direct supervision. Must have a good work ethic, have good attendance and excellent quality of work product.
