Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Apprentice and kick-start your career in the electrical industry! This paid position offers hands-on experience working alongside skilled electricians, supporting a variety of electrical projects across commercial and residential settings. As an Electrical Apprentice, you will develop essential skills in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance, gaining valuable knowledge that sets the foundation for a successful future in electrical work. Duties Assist licensed electricians with installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems using hand tools and testing equipment Support the setup and troubleshooting of low voltage systems, including computer networking and security wiring Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to aid in project execution Use tools such as ohmmeters to test circuits, measure resistance, and diagnose electrical issues Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment and components to ensure optimal operation Support field service activities by traveling to job sites to assist with equipment repair and system installations Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and service logs Experience Previous experience working as a service technician or in a related field is highly desirable Familiarity with hand tools, electrical testing devices like ohmmeters, and basic mechanical knowledge is essential Experience with computer hardware or computer networking systems will be advantageous Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes is preferred Demonstrated ability to work safely in field service environments involving low voltage systems Strong mechanical aptitude with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field service assignments Embark on an exciting journey into the world of electrical work!
