Travel Electrician TEKsystems $20.00 - $33.00 / hr life insurance, sick time, 401(k), retirement plan, company vehicle United States, Arkansas, Lowell Aug 26, 2026 Position Summary TEKsystems is seeking experienced Electricians to support a nationwide access control installation project. This role is ideal for professionals with commercial electrical experience who enjoy travel and working as part of a collaborative installation team. The Electrician will partner with a Low Voltage/Data Technician to install and commission access control infrastructure at customer locations across the country. Candidates must be comfortable traveling extensively, working in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

  • 100% travel required for the duration of the project

  • Valid driver's license required Key Responsibilities
  • Install and terminate high-voltage power circuits to designated power supply locations.
  • Mount and wire power supplies, backup power systems, and associated electrical components.
  • Install EMT conduit systems, including bends, connectors, couplings, supports, and straps.
  • Install junction boxes and pull boxes as needed based on project requirements.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC standards, local codes, and customer specifications.
  • Verify proper grounding and power distribution for access control equipment.
  • Collaborate with Low Voltage/Data Technicians during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and support project completion within established timelines.
  • Adhere to all site safety requirements and quality standards. Required Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience installing and terminating high-voltage power circuits.
  • Experience mounting and wiring power supplies and backup power systems.
  • Experience installing conduit systems and related electrical infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and applicable electrical codes.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Team Structure Each installation team will consist of:
  • 1 Licensed or Experienced Electrician
  • 1 Low Voltage/Data Technician Together, the team will support the installation of network-connected access control systems, including electrical power infrastructure, low-voltage cabling, equipment enclosures, and related components.

  • Pay and Benefits
  • The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
