Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment per local and national electrical codes
- Perform electrical inspections and diagnose electrical problems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in industrial, commercial, and residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Install and connect wiring, outlets, switches, and fixtures
- Test electrical systems for proper functioning and safety
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
Qualifications:
- Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of high voltage systems
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and specialized electrical equipment
- Experience in frame carpentry or maintenance person work is a plus
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
