Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician specializing in custom residential projects to join our dynamic team. As an Electrician for custom residential work, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining complex electrical systems tailored to individual client specifications. Duties Install electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and high-voltage systems according to detailed electrical blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation aligned with project specifications. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex residential electrical systems to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and integrate industrial electrical components within residential settings, ensuring compliance with all safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to test electrical circuits and verify system integrity. Follow all local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and electrical safety procedures during installation and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of renovation or new construction projects with exceptional quality. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on custom residential projects; industrial or commercial electrician experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high-voltage electrical wiring. Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes is essential. Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; experience with electrical blueprint reading is required. Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment. Hands-on experience with electrical wiring installation in renovation projects or new construction sites; handyman experience is advantageous. Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and experience working on construction sites involving high-voltage applications. Strong attention to safety procedures related to electrical work to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Valid licensing or certification as required by state or local authorities; ongoing professional development in advanced electrical techniques is preferred.
