An Electrician works on electrical systems in buildings. Installs electrical wiring and lighting in new construction, and repairs or upgrade wiring, outlets or other parts of older electrical systems. Checks safety and makes installations or repairs that are in compliance with local building codes. May also specialize in electrical work required in different manufacturing industries, electrical systems for cars, plane or boats, or electrical and lighting work in the film industry.
G & J Development, Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our electrical team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely, and is willing to travel to project sites throughout Arizona. This is a full-time position with travel based on project location and company needs. Responsibilities Perform electrical installations for commercial and new construction projects. Read and work from electrical plans and drawings. Install and bend conduit, including EMT and rigid conduit. Pull wire and install lighting, receptacles, switches, panels, and other electrical equipment. Assist with underground electrical installations as needed. Follow electrical codes, project requirements, and company safety procedures. Work effectively with other electricians, apprentices, supervisors, and trades. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications 2+ years of electrical construction experience , preferably in commercial or new construction. Experience with conduit installation, wire pulling, and electrical devices. Ability to read and understand electrical plans and drawings. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Dependable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team. Must be willing to travel to project sites in Tucson and surrounding areas, as needed. Valid driver's license preferred. Must meet applicable pre-employment requirements.
