Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new installations to renovations, utilizing your extensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately perform wiring and system installations. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on industrial equipment and infrastructure while following strict electrical safety procedures. Work on low-voltage systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control wiring, and automation components for industrial applications. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation, maintenance, and renovation projects on construction sites or existing facilities. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems by analyzing schematics, diagnosing issues promptly, and implementing effective repairs to minimize downtime. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and regulations through diligent inspection and documentation practices. Collaborate with team members on construction sites or renovation projects to coordinate tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Skills Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for accurate installation and troubleshooting. Proficient in electrical diagnostics using voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing tools. Experience working with high-voltage wiring systems in industrial settings along with low-voltage control wiring. Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently while following safety procedures. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in industrial environments. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to prevent accidents during installation or repair work. Construction site experience including renovation projects; capable of working at heights or in confined spaces as needed. Excellent hand tool proficiency along with power tools necessary for diverse electrical tasks. Pay:
$50.00 - $95.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
